We have begun another exciting Cooking Matters for Parents of Preschool Aged Children in Fort Lauderdale. We have a great team of volunteers and excited to be working with this great school. We had 11 parents and they learned about the importance of “My Plate” as well as the different food groups. Chef Daphne and Chef Octavia went over Food Safety information which is critical in any hands on cooking class. Patience, a mother of 3 mentioned that her child is a very picky eater and wants to learn how to incorporate more veggies into his meals. Everyone got down and dirty and made some delicious Turkey Tacos as well as a healthy drink made of selter water and juice.
